Londoners will soon be given the opportunity to join the Swedish cool set with a brand new Icebar. Vodka brand Absolute are teaming up with the people behind the Icehotel in Sweden and new kids on the (ice)block Below zero to bring the bar to the UK.
The Icebar will allow 60 people at a time through it’s air-lock system, equipping them with special coats and gloves. Everything, including the walls and the Vodka glasses will be made from ice and maintained at a constant minus 5 degrees Celsius but a purpose built air-conditioning system. Now that’s cool!

Ever since our earliest days the Human race has been plagued by questions: Who are we? Why are we here? I’ve have spent the last few weeks pondering such a question. A question that has taxed my (some say feeble) brain to it’s very limits. I’ve pondered, I’ve considered, I’ve wept in despair, and I let out a few little farts of frustration wondering just what are my 10 greatest albums of all time? I’ve compiled this list as an answer, I just hope I can get what those shrinks call closure on this issue.
1. How can I decide this?! I was thinking maybe Jazz by Queen, or Tommy by The Who, but what about Bowie?? Nah, number 1 is just too difficult.
2. O - Damien Rice
3. War of the Worlds - Jeff Wayne
4. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles
5. Make Yourself - Incubus
6. Dizzy Up The Girl - Goo Goo Dolls
7. Mercury Falling - Sting
8. Play - Moby
9. Canon (adagio) - Pachebel
10. The Beautiful Letdown - Switchfoot

On 25 July, 1976 Viking Orbiter 1 was surveying the Cydonia region of Mars when it took what in now perhaps the most famous image of the red planet, the infamous face on Mars. This shocking photograph led some people to claim that there must have been an ancient civilisation on Mars thousands of years ago, and it was these people who built the face.
I have always had a fascination with this photograph, what could it possibly mean? Then, last night I was looking through my telescope when I made a discovery that can only be described as a seminal moment in the history of man. Another face, staring back at me. It appeared blury at first, but as my eyes grew accustomed, I was able to pick out more detail. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything more astounding or beautiful in my life.
I believe this photograph proves without a shadow of a doubt that there was indeed life on Mars thousands of years ago. I have obviously enhanced this photo somewhat to enable you to clearly see the lines of the face (this can be hard for the untrained eye), even so I think you will agree this is compelling evidence.
I have contacted nasa with this most starling picture, but remember you heard it here first! We are not alone.
( note, photos removed due to compatability issues. So it’s a bit of a sh*t post now to be honest. )
