Kind of SciFi-ish, I'm really looking forward to the new series of Ashes to Ashes.

This kind of allows me to bring up a good point. It's far easier to catch-up with UK that tend to have 6-12 episodes per series, whereas US season lengths usually fall around the 24 episode mark.

Not only does it make it easier to catch up on previous series, but I wonder if it means the quality is more consistent as story arcs don't get stretched across as many episodes? I'd venture a guess and say yes.

Guys, thanks for vindicating me.

I tried Lost, but just couldn't get into it - and now the outlook is bleak. I may try Atlantis again, but I don't really get on with that either.

Oh woe is me - when will more geek-pleasures be available.

At least the new Star Trek movie looks (dare I say it) pretty good.

Given that in the last month I have watched over 30 hours of Stargate Atlantis the last thing I am going to do is mock you my friend. I absolutely love Sci Fi and have always had Battlestar in mind as a possible replacment once i've finished the remaining 3 and a half seasons of SG Atlantis.

Personally I found the whole last series to be a huge disappointment. It irks me greatly to see promising shows fall back on the old 'it's magic' or 'god done it', ending.

It suffered, in my the same way as lost did, from entirely pointless flashbacks to use up time wrapped up as "character development" and fell into the trap that so many US shows seem to of turning what could be a good story where we need to know what happens next into a series of events that bring about a pre-defined ending. As soon as the future gets predicted or the writers decide to try and be mystical every show turns into a joke, and this was no different.

I was going to mock you but as I'm still watching Lost I think it would be a case of the pot shouting racist remarks at the kettle.

@Kris - cheers mate, lol.

@Mark - I just can't see how advert supported music makes anywhere near enough money.

I also suffer from 'what next? syndrome' - they could do with a last.fm type suggestion service. Or allow a way for you to easily send suggestions to friends.

yeah, the icons are bad and the tooltips make them worse. would love the option to hide the toolbar altogether and use menu commands + keyboard shortcuts. and it's dumb to have the name of the application inside of its main screen (getting rid of this would make more room for text-buttons...)
